About Skilled Trades Ontario (STO)
Our mission is to support Ontario’s economic success as the central authority responsible for establishing leading-edge standards in the skilled trades to meet the opportunities of today and the challenges of tomorrow.

Campaign Goals
GOAL #1: Increase awareness of STO’s purpose & the benefits of apprenticeships.
Enhance the visibility of Skilled Trades Ontario, responsible for apprenticeship and certification of
skilled trades in Ontario.

GOAL #2: Reshape perceptions of Red Seal certification and skilled trades careers.
Improve understanding regarding the value of skilled trade certifications (via apprenticeships),
reshaping perceptions by sharing updated facts, modern realities and authentic stories through
influencers.

GOAL #3: Navigate a clear path to skilled trades certification in Ontario.
Present STO as a personal guide to help teens plot their path to apprenticeship and a meaningful
career in skilled trades.

Youth Angle - Essential, Empowering, Endless Opportunities:
Creators will focus on narrowing the gap between perception and reality by tapping into the true benefits - from emotional to the physically tangible - of a career in trades starting with STO. Each content will highlight STO’s programs and where to learn more.

Parents of Teens Angle -   A Brighter Future  for My Kids:
The skilled trades suffer from a lack of exposure, furthering the stigma and negative perception around them. Parents who are also creators will focus on spreading the necessary awareness to prospective apprentices and their parents with educational video content highlighting the stability and lucrative prospects of this path while sharing STO’s programs and where to learn more.

Creators we're looking for
-  People who are currently within the trades themselves or in an apprenticeship program (preferably paid)
- People who can speak to the Skilled Trades
- Parents of children who are in the trades to speak to their education pathway
- Parents who are in a certified trade that can speak to their own experience in the industry
- Open to all creators within Canada!
